MOUNT TYPES: Vertically mounted blinds that are installed inside the window frame require a deduction of approximately 0.4 inches to ensure a proper fit. These inside-mounted blinds necessitate a minimum frame depth of 2.4 inches for secure installation. If your window frame depth is less than 2.4 inches, please consider an outside mount. Outside mounts are often the preferred choice when the frame depth is insufficient for an inside mount.

Our window shades come with all the necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1: Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest of the three measurements and deduct 0.4 inches to determine your inside width when ordering. Step 2: Measure the height at the left, middle, and right side. Use the smallest of the three measurements and deduct 0.4 inches to determine your inside height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1: Measure the outside frame width and add 8 inches to determine the outside mount width. Step 2: If your window is a French window, measure from 2.4 inches above the top window frame to a point 0.4 inches above the ground. For a windowsill window, measure from 2.4 inches above the top window frame to a point 4 inches below the bottom window frame. Overlapping the window is recommended to ensure complete coverage and avoid light gaps.
